Today was an exceptionally exciting day; we started off the
day with a delicious breakfast from our gracious host Students First. The organization Students First had three engaging presenters on the subject of k-12
education. I found the statistics relating to socioeconomic gaps and academic
success extremely interesting, and I am personally considering applying for the
internships they so graciously informed us about.
After Students First we trekked our way to the
City Hall to see the infamous Mayor of Sacramento, Kevin Johnson. Mayor Johnson
was really cool to spend time with us and answer our questions with a high
positive energy list.
Our last
stop on our journey today was the Attorney General's office. The AG's office
had two gracious hosts that were extremely informative! Today was my favorite
day of the Sacramento Internship Program.
